ES. What key decisions or experiences have shaped your leadership journey in building platforms within the mobility and EV space?

G S Dhillon. One of the most defining decisions in my leadership journey has been to build platforms with a clear and focused vision, especially in a sector as dynamic as mobility and electric vehicles. Recognizing early that the EV space would evolve rapidly across multiple segments—particularly in passenger mobility—helped shape our approach to create platforms that are adaptive, inclusive, and future-ready.

A key experience has been engaging closely with the industry and understanding the scale of India’s consumption base. This reinforced the need to design platforms that connect manufacturers, technology providers, policymakers, and buyers in a meaningful way, rather than operating in silos. Additionally, prioritizing ecosystem-building over standalone events has been a crucial shift—focusing on real business outcomes, strategic partnerships, and knowledge exchange. These decisions have collectively shaped a journey centered on relevance, collaboration, and long-term impact in the evolving mobility landscape.

ES. How will RideAsia EV 2026 cater to the rapidly evolving electric mobility ecosystem and emerging market demands?

G S Dhillon. As Managing Director, my focus for RideAsia EV 2026 is to ensure the platform directly responds to the fast-evolving needs of the electric mobility ecosystem. We have structured the expo to cover the complete EV value chain—from vehicles and components to batteries, charging infrastructure, and emerging technologies—so stakeholders get a comprehensive and practical view of the market. We are placing strong emphasis on curated B2B meetings, dealer–distributor engagement, and policy-driven discussions to ensure real business outcomes. Dedicated segments for startups and innovation will highlight next-generation solutions, while live product showcases will allow companies to gauge real-time market response.

Additionally, by facilitating direct interaction between manufacturers, buyers, and end users, we enable immediate feedback on changing consumer demands. This ensures that participants are not only showcasing products but also aligning themselves with current and future market expectations.

RideAsia EV 2026 is designed to be outcome-driven—where innovation meets opportunity, and where industry players can adapt, collaborate, and scale in line with the evolving EV landscape.

ES. How do focused EV exhibitions contribute to accelerating collaboration between manufacturers, policymakers, and technology providers?

G S Dhillon. Focused EV exhibitions serve as powerful convergence platforms where manufacturers, policymakers, and technology providers come together with clear intent and purpose. Unlike broader forums, these platforms enable targeted, decision-level interactions through curated B2B meetings, policy roundtables, and live technology demonstrations. They create an environment where policy direction aligns with industry capability—policymakers gain real-time insights into technological advancements and market challenges, while manufacturers and tech providers receive clarity on regulations, incentives, and future roadmaps.

This structured and purpose-driven engagement breaks down silos, fosters strategic partnerships, and accelerates the translation of innovation into scalable, market-ready solutions—driving cohesive and accelerated growth across the EV ecosystem.

ES. As EV adoption grows, what role can platforms like yours play in promoting sustainable mobility solutions and awareness?

G S Dhillon. As EV adoption accelerates, platforms like ours play a pivotal role in driving both awareness and actionable change in sustainable mobility. We go beyond showcasing innovations by creating a strong bridge between technology, industry stakeholders, and end users—helping build trust, understanding, and faster adoption. By bringing together policymakers, manufacturers, and technology providers, we enable meaningful dialogue that aligns innovation with policy and market needs.

At the same time, through direct engagement and live demonstrations, we demystify EV solutions and promote informed decision-making. Ultimately, our platform acts as a catalyst—amplifying awareness, fostering collaboration, and accelerating the transition towards a cleaner and future-ready mobility ecosystem.
ES. What vision do you have for your journey in the exhibitions industry, and what impact would you like to create through your work?

G S Dhillon. My vision for the exhibitions industry is to move beyond conventional trade shows and build purpose-driven platforms that truly shape industries. I see exhibitions as powerful ecosystems—where business, innovation, and policy converge to create measurable impact rather than just visibility. Through my journey, I aim to create platforms that are not only large in scale but meaningful in outcome—enabling real business opportunities, fostering collaboration, and driving industry transformation. The focus is on building environments where ideas convert into partnerships and innovation translates into growth. The impact I aspire to create is long-term—strengthening industries, supporting emerging sectors like electric mobility, and contributing to India’s economic and sustainable development by making exhibitions a catalyst for progress, not just participation.
