ES. We have heard that this year is a milestone year for GS. What is this milestone?
Suparna Dutta Gupta. GS has completed 30 years in the field of organizing exhibitions. In all, we have organized 267 exhibitions & trade fairs. Our fairs are meticulously planned and organized. They are supported by massive advertising and publicity campaigns to ensure maximum footfalls from the target market, thus ensuring more business for the participants and a great experience for the visitors.
The IIMTF has received many awards for its excellence in exhibitions. We have hosted Government participation, Corporate participation and participation from Manufacturers, Artisans, Traders and Suppliers from over 20 countries and 23 states of India. Our events have been graced by esteemed dignitaries like Smt. Draupadi Murmu, Shree Jagdeep Dhankhar, Dr. Shashi Panja, Shree Venkaiah Naidu, Smt. Nimala Sitharaman, Dr. Amit Mitra and many others.
ES. Is there anything you wish to say to your stakeholders, after completing 30 years in this industry of organizing exhibitions?
Suparna Dutta Gupta. Most of all, we are extremely grateful to our dedicated team of professionals for their continuous efforts throughout all these years, for organizing these exhibitions to the best of their abilities. This team was trained by my late husband S. D. Gupta and has now expanded and gained huge experience throughout these years.
30 years in this industry is a huge milestone for us. In all, we have organized 267 mostly big exhibitions in the last 30 years. In that context, we take this opportunity to thank our loyal participants, Government departments and entities like National Jute Board, EPCH, various State Governments, Department of Tourism, MSME, NSIC, Handicrafts, Handlooms, LIC etc. We thank the Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry for their support for last 14 years ( Since 2011). We also thank FJCCI, CREDAI Bhubaneswar, etc for their valuable support for many years.
ES. Please let us know more about your flagship Fair, The India International Mega Trade Fair (IIMTF) in Kolkata.
Suparna Dutta Gupta. Our flagship fair, the India International Mega Trade Fair in Kolkata is organized in an area of over 4 lakh square feet with impressive footfalls of over 14 lakh visitors in 18 days. We had a total of 1030 participants in IIMTF, Kolkata in 18 air conditioned pavilions in a grand exhibition setting of international standard at the Science City Ground. Every year, the people of Kolkata eagerly wait for this Fair which has a wonderful festive vibe. They can select and purchase products from over one lakh unique products on display – both from all over India and abroad.
ES. How many IIMTFs has G S Marketing organized this year?
Suparna Dutta Gupta. This year (2024-2025) GS Marketing Associates has organized 13 Exhibitions (IIMTF – large, big and medium) in various cities of India which include Mumbai, Chandigarh, Vishakhaptnam, Prayagraj, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Patna, Indore, Ranchi and Surat (twice in Mumbai and Chandigarh). The speciality of India International Mega Trade Fair is that we are capable of organizing high quality B2C Exhibitions of all sizes in all types of venues whether they are medium, big or very large venues- both indoor and outdoor.
