1. Can you tell us the story behind the inception of Incense Media?
Incense Media emerged from a desire to bridge a crucial gap within the niche Agarbatti industry. While assisting with my father’s Agarbatti retail business, despite a background in Computer Engineering and experiences in the technology and media sectors (including a foray into live streaming and a vision for an early internet TV venture), I recognized the absence of a unifying platform for manufacturers and suppliers. This insight led to the establishment of Incense Media in April 2015, initially as a print publication. The magazine quickly became a vital communication channel within the industry.
Responding to the needs articulated by early advertisers and readers, Incense Media expanded its vision to create a physical meeting point, culminating in the successful launch of its first exhibition in Jaipur in February 2016. This marked the humble beginning of Incense Media’s journey from a print platform serving approximately 70-80 exhibitors to becoming a leading exhibition organizer hosting over 200 exhibitors and sprawling across Lakhs of square feet in a specialized sector.
2. Are there any flagship events or upcoming programs that you would like to highlight?
We are excited to share our upcoming schedule of flagship events in the Agarbatti, Fragrance, and Spiritual products sector over the next two years. We have already announced four significant exhibitions across different cities: Delhi (May 17-18, 2025), Mumbai (December 13-14, 2025), Bengaluru (May 09-10, 2026), and Kolkata (December 2026). Furthermore, our Hyderabad edition next year, taking place on February 26-27, 2026, will be a dedicated International Soap, Detergent & Cosmetics Expo, marking our strong foray into the broader home and personal care segment. Looking ahead, Incense Media is also actively exploring opportunities to launch new shows in two additional promising verticals, with potential announcements to follow soon.
