Thailand MICE X-Change (TMX) is set to return for its fourth edition from 29–30 April 2027 at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Centre, Bangkok, with a renewed focus on innovation, sustainability and international collaboration across the MICE industry.
Organised by the Thai Exhibition Association (TEA), TMX has emerged as an important platform for Thailand’s MICE and business events sector, bringing together industry stakeholders from Thailand and across the Asia-Pacific region. The event is positioned as an industry-led platform aimed at demonstrating the strategic value of MICE to corporate organisations while highlighting the role of face-to-face business events in networking, brand building, business development and commercial growth.
Innovation at the Core
The theme for TMX 2027, “From Innovation to IMPACT: Shaping the Future of MICE,” reflects the transformation taking place across the business events industry. Digital innovation, artificial intelligence, sustainability and collaborative partnerships are increasingly influencing how exhibitions, conferences and business events are planned, delivered and experienced.
TMX 2027 will bring these developments into focus through its exhibition, business matching programme and conference, providing participants with opportunities to explore emerging technologies, market trends and new approaches to delivering business events.
The event will cover more than 5,000 square metres of exhibition space and is expected to attract over 100 local and international exhibitors along with more than 4,000 trade visitors and conference delegates from the MICE, business events and travel sectors across the Asia-Pacific region.
Building on the previous edition, TMX 2027 is also expected to facilitate more than 400 pre-arranged one-to-one business matching meetings, strengthening its role as a platform for commercial connections and new business opportunities.
TMX X-Change Square Conference
A key feature of the 2027 edition will be the TMX X-Change Square Conference, which will present more than 20 sessions across two days, featuring over 30 industry leaders, experts and thought leaders.
The conference programme will address practical issues and emerging trends affecting the MICE ecosystem, including the changing role of venues, sales and marketing, event project management, artificial intelligence, business matching, consumer exhibitions, venue operations, logistics, booth construction and design, sustainability and other developments shaping the industry’s future.
Commenting on the upcoming edition, Loy Joon How, President of the Thai Exhibition Association, highlighted the evolving role of exhibitions within the wider business ecosystem.
“Thailand’s exhibition industry continues to evolve into a dynamic business ecosystem where industries come together to connect, innovate, trade and grow.”
He added that TMX is focused on accelerating digital transformation, advancing sustainability and strengthening international partnerships to further reinforce Thailand’s position as a competitive and resilient MICE destination in Asia.
Strengthening Public-Private Collaboration
TMX 2027 will once again be co-located with MICE Day organised by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB). The continued collaboration reflects the growing role of public-private partnerships in strengthening Thailand’s business events ecosystem.
The partnership comes at a time when the global MICE industry is dealing with a complex operating environment shaped by geopolitical tensions, trade uncertainties, economic pressures and rising costs.
Against this backdrop, TMX 2027 aims to help industry stakeholders strengthen their capabilities and respond to major developments including digital transformation, artificial intelligence, sustainability and changing customer expectations.
Loy further emphasised that while technology is reshaping the way businesses operate, the value of physical interaction remains central to the MICE industry.
“While technology continues to transform how we do business, face-to-face engagement remains irreplaceable in building trust, creating meaningful connections and generating long-term business opportunities.”
With its combination of exhibition, business matching and knowledge-sharing platforms, TMX 2027 is expected to provide an important meeting point for MICE professionals looking to build partnerships, exchange knowledge and explore new opportunities across the Asia-Pacific region.
TMX 2027 will take place on 29–30 April 2027 at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Centre, Bangkok.
About the Thai Exhibition Association
Established in 1997, the Thai Exhibition Association (TEA) was founded by pioneers of Thailand’s exhibition industry with the objective of advancing and sustaining the country’s exhibition sector.
Today, TEA’s membership includes organisations across four key categories – organisers, venues, service providers and freight forwarders – with members based primarily in Bangkok and other major MICE destinations across Thailand.
The association works to connect Thailand’s exhibition industry with the international market through business networking, professional training and development, and the promotion of industry standards aligned with international expectations. TEA also serves as a gateway for organisers looking to enter or expand their presence in the Thai market, supported by its extensive B2B and B2C industry network.
