Shri Giriraj Singh, Hon’ble Union Minister for Textiles, will inaugurate the 74th edition of the India International Garment Fair (IIGF) on January 23, 2026, at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi. The inauguration will be followed by an address by the Minister. Recognised as one of Asia’s largest and most influential garment fairs, IIGF continues to serve as a key platform connecting MSMEs with global buyers.

The 74th edition of IIGF is expected to witness participation from over 235 exhibitors representing 13 Indian states, along with more than 650 international buyers from across 65 countries, reinforcing India’s growing prominence as a global apparel sourcing destination.

Commenting on the upcoming edition, Dr. A. Sakthivel, Chairman, Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) and International Garment Fair Association (IGFA), stated that the 74th IIGF marks a significant milestone for India’s garment sector, especially at a time when the industry is navigating global challenges.

He emphasised that the fair would play a strategic role in accelerating exports by enabling market diversification, encouraging design innovation, strengthening the global appeal of ‘Made in India’ products, and providing MSMEs with a powerful platform to build brands and connect with international markets.

Dr. Sakthivel further noted that by fostering engagement across diverse geographies and empowering Indian manufacturers to scale, the current edition of IIGF is expected to contribute meaningfully towards building a more competitive, innovative, and globally integrated apparel industry.

Highlighting the broader export landscape, AEPC stated that India’s ready-made garment (RMG) exports in FY 2025–26 stood at approximately USD 16 billion, with apparel products being exported to nearly 186 countries. The council reiterated its objective of deeper integration into the global value chain by focusing on value-added production and sustainable manufacturing practices, areas where global brands are increasingly looking to expand sourcing from India.

Despite ongoing global disruptions, India’s apparel export sector has demonstrated resilience, with cumulative RMG exports for the period April–December 2025–26 reaching USD 11,584.3 million, reflecting a growth of 2.4 per cent compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year.

The 74th edition of IIGF will witness strong international participation from key markets including North America (USA, Canada), Latin America (Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Argentina), Europe (UK, Spain, Greece, Italy, France, Germany, Netherlands, Turkey), Asia (Japan, UAE, Thailand, Israel, Kuwait, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia), Oceania (Australia), Africa (South Africa), and Eurasia (Russia), among others.

Launched in 1988, the India International Garment Fair is a bi-annual exhibition held twice every year — January/February for Autumn/Winter collections and June/July for Spring/Summer collections. The fair is jointly organised by the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) and the International Garment Fair Association (IGFA), with support from Garment Exporters & Manufacturers Association (GEMA), Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) and Garment Exporters Association of Rajasthan (GEAR Rajasthan).
