India’s clean energy transformation took center stage as Informa Markets in India inaugurated the 18th edition of the Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo alongside the 3rd edition of The Battery Show India (TBSI) at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. The three-day event, held from October 30 to November 1, 2025, has brought together over 1,050 exhibitors, 1,400 brands, and more than 55,000 professionals, positioning it as South Asia’s largest and most influential clean energy gathering under the theme “Decoding Pathways to Achieve Net Zero.”

The grand inauguration was graced by several dignitaries, including Dr. Vibha Dhawan, Director General of TERI; Dr. Philipp Ackermann, Ambassador of Germany to India; Dr. Ewa Suwara, Deputy Head of the Delegation of the European Union to India; and Shri Manu Srivastava, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Power and Renewable Energy Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Shri Srivastava highlighted India’s achievements in renewable integration, emphasizing that the nation has pioneered competitive solar-plus-storage tariffs, achieving round-the-clock energy delivery at record-low prices. Dr. Dhawan commended India’s progress toward its 500 GW non-fossil energy target by 2030, underlining the role of policy, innovation, and investment in driving sustainable industrial growth.

The 2025 edition witnessed several major announcements, including the launch of Solis’s 125 kW Hybrid Inverter with 4-in-1 smart functionality for commercial and industrial applications, Replus’s 5 GW Energy Storage System, and a strategic 5 GW module supply agreement between LONGi and Inox Solar aimed at strengthening India’s solar manufacturing ecosystem.

According to Mr. Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director of Informa Markets in India, India’s renewable capacity surpassing 250 GW marks a defining moment for the sector. He noted that platforms such as REI and TBSI play a vital role in fostering collaboration and investment across the clean energy value chain as the nation advances toward its 500 GW target.

The event features high-impact forums such as the CEO/CXO Conclave, CTO Forum, and Battery Tech Conference, bringing together over 250 global thought leaders to discuss advanced manufacturing, policy alignment, and technological innovation in renewables, storage, and e-mobility.

Supported by strong international participation from Germany, Japan, Korea, and the European Union, REI Expo 2025 and The Battery Show India underscore India’s emergence as a global leader in sustainable energy and innovation, marking another milestone in the nation’s journey toward a Net Zero future.
