Formnext Asia Shenzhen 2025 set new benchmarks for the additive manufacturing (AM) industry in South China, as the event achieved a 78% increase in total attendance. The two-day exhibition, held on 26–27 August, drew 20,715 visitors, of whom 733 were international—a staggering 158% growth compared to the previous year.
Spanning 20,000 square meters, the show featured 265 exhibitors showcasing the full AM ecosystem—from cutting-edge equipment and advanced materials to software and post-processing solutions. The fringe programme was equally robust: 14 conference sessions delivered over 150 presentations, addressing high-growth sectors like consumer electronics and footwear, while also exploring wider technological and global market developments.
A major highlight was the second annual 3D Print Farm Conference and Farm Workshop Showcase. This segment attracted thousands of attendees with more than 50 companies presenting print farm technologies—an innovative model employing large networks of 3D printers for parallelized production.
The event also enjoyed significant digital engagement. Its official photo livestream garnered over 178,000 visits, while media partner Panda3DP’s livestream of fringe programmes and exhibitor interviews attracted 34,413 unique visitors, highlighting rising virtual interest alongside on-site participation.
Exhibitor sentiment reinforced the show’s success. Leo Xiao, marketing manager at PollyPolymer, reported that their AI-driven innovation—the world’s first 3D-printed mattress—drew large crowds and generated interest from global clients across regions including the Middle East, India, Pakistan, Europe, and the U.S. Likewise, HP’s Hua Zhao emphasized Formnext’s reputation for global quality, noting the presence of key industry players and the comprehensive ecosystem—from materials to applications—represented on the show floor.
Formnext Asia Shenzhen, organized by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd, is part of the broader Formnext network, which includes the flagship event in Frankfurt (17–21 November 2025) and the Formnext Asia Tokyo Forum (25–26 September 2025). Having exceeded expectations in 2025, the next edition is scheduled for 26–28 August 2026
