International Confex has announced the relaunch of the Global Event Tech Summit, bringing the event into the International Confex portfolio and positioning it as a dedicated platform for discussions on the future of event technology.

Scheduled to take place in London on 9 July 2026, the summit will unite corporate event planners, exhibition organisers, agencies, associations, not-for-profit organisations, and leading technology providers. The event will focus on key areas shaping the industry, including artificial intelligence (AI), automation, audience engagement, registration technologies, and experiential innovation.

The move comes amid growing demand for event technology solutions across the industry. As organisers face increasing pressure to deliver highly personalised, measurable, and engaging event experiences, technology is playing a more critical role than ever. New tools, particularly AI-powered solutions, are also helping event professionals streamline operations and improve efficiency during intensive event delivery periods.

By integrating the summit into the International Confex portfolio, attendees will gain access to a broader range of networking opportunities, educational content, and supplier connections than previously available through the Conference News audience alone.

Commenting on the development, Jack Newey, Chief Commercial Director at Mash Media, said that the Global Event Tech Summit has evolved beyond a traditional educational conference. He noted that event professionals are seeking strategic discussions, practical insights, meaningful networking opportunities, and direct access to technology providers helping shape modern events.

The 2026 programme will feature industry case studies, live technology demonstrations, hosted networking sessions, and curated matchmaking opportunities. A dedicated focus will also be placed on the role of technology in supporting delegate wellbeing and enhancing attendee experiences.

Organisers have confirmed that registration is now open, while sponsorship opportunities are also available. Attendance will be limited, encouraging interested professionals to secure their places early.
