India’s electronics manufacturing sector is witnessing strong momentum, driven by policy support, maturing industrial clusters, and global supply chain diversification. This growth will be reflected at Electronica India and Productronica India 2026, scheduled from April 8 to 10 at India Expo Mart. Organised by Messe Muenchen India, the event serves as North India’s edition of South Asia’s leading B2B electronics trade fairs, reinforcing its role at the centre of India’s manufacturing expansion.
With participation from over 50 countries including Germany, China, the United States, Japan, and Taiwan, the platform underscores India’s growing global integration. Across its Greater Noida and Bengaluru editions, the event connects over 60,000 participants and 1,000 plus exhibitors, marking a 50 percent expansion in scale. Hosted by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, it highlights the rising importance of the Noida Greater Noida corridor as a key electronics manufacturing hub.
Industry momentum is being driven by initiatives such as the Production Linked Incentive scheme and the proposed Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme, enabling domestic capability, reducing import dependence, and strengthening supply chain resilience. Expanding outreach, Rohit Sharma has been associated as the brand ambassador for this edition.
A key highlight is the launch of BPCA, Bharat’s platform for printed circuits and assemblies, a strategic collaboration between Electronic Industries Association of India and Messe Muenchen India, aimed at addressing critical gaps in PCB manufacturing and accelerating localisation.
The event will feature key programmes including the UP Electronics Leadership Summit, ELCINA Supply Chain Summit, Automotive Display Conference by India Cellular and Electronics Association, Bharat PCB Tech Conference, SMT Thought Leadership Summit, Startup Pavilion, and industry podcasts, aligned with priorities such as localisation, innovation, and supply chain resilience.
Mr. Bhupinder Singh, President IMEA and CEO of Messe Muenchen India, noted, “electronica India and productronica India is scaling in line with the industry it serves, companies are coming in with defined sourcing plans and using the platform to close decisions.”
Dr. Reinhard Pfeiffer, CEO of Messe München, added, “India’s role in global electronics manufacturing is becoming more substantive, we see increasing interest in India as a manufacturing destination and strategic partner.”
Mr. Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary, Department of IT and Electronics, Government of Uttar Pradesh, stated, “The Government of Uttar Pradesh is committed to strengthening the state’s position as a key hub for electronics manufacturing and enabling companies to scale their operations.”
Mr. Rajoo Goel, Secretary General of ELCINA, emphasised, “India’s next phase of growth in electronics manufacturing will depend on strengthening its component ecosystem and building domestic capabilities.”
Mr. Pankaj Mohindroo, Chairman of ICEA, highlighted, “India’s electronics manufacturing journey is entering a phase where scale must be matched with depth, with stronger local integration and collaboration across the value chain.”
Positioned at the intersection of policy intent and industry execution, Electronica India and Productronica India 2026 is set to play a pivotal role in advancing India’s electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
