A new immersive exhibition, The Intelligence Garden, has opened at Outernet London, offering a large-scale visual exploration of how intelligence evolves from simple systems to human consciousness. Created by digital artist Agustín Vidal Saavedra, the installation unfolds across Outernet’s four-storey, 16K LED screens, transforming the space into a series of evolving environments.

The experience begins inside what the artist describes as a vast, empty cave, gradually transitioning into a landscape filled with growing plants and towering trees. The visuals then develop into a dense, jungle-like setting, while a ceiling-based narrative traces the evolution of intelligence—from simple connections and organisms to the stage of human abstraction. The journey concludes in a massive library-like space, representing the culmination of knowledge and consciousness.

Vidal Saavedra said the project aims to present intelligence as an emerging property of nature rather than solely a technological concept. He noted that while audiences may initially be impressed by the scale of the visuals, repeated visits reveal hidden details and deeper narrative layers embedded within the installation.

Music for the exhibition was developed in collaboration with composer OC Music. The score is designed to mirror the evolving visual narrative, beginning simply and building in complexity toward the climax, reflecting the progression of intelligence portrayed in the installation.

The exhibition is presented at Outernet London, located next to Tottenham Court Road station. The venue’s open-access format allows large audiences to experience the installation simultaneously, reinforcing the project’s focus on shared, collective experiences.

The Intelligence Garden is free to attend and open to the public, continuing Vidal Saavedra’s work in combining storytelling with architectural-scale digital environments.
