Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the third edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) on September 25, 2025, at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida. The five-day event, running until September 29, aims to showcase Uttar Pradesh’s industrial, agricultural, cultural, and innovative strengths on a global stage.

This year’s theme, “Ultimate Sourcing Begins Here,” reflects UP’s commitment to becoming a hub for global trade and investment. Over 2,400 exhibitors, including more than 500 international buyers from 80 countries, are participating. The event is expected to attract over 500,000 visitors, highlighting the state’s growing prominence in the global trade arena.

Russia is the partner country for UPITS 2025, emphasizing the strengthening of bilateral ties and exploring new avenues for economic cooperation. A significant feature of the trade show is the One District One Product (ODOP) Pavilion, showcasing 343 stalls representing Uttar Pradesh’s diverse craftsmanship, including Bhadohi carpets, Firozabad glasswork, and Moradabad metalware. This initiative aims to promote local artisans and expand their reach in international markets.

In his address, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the government’s focus on innovation, integration, and internationalization as core objectives of the trade show. He reiterated India’s commitment to becoming self-reliant, stating, “Every product that can be made in India should be made in India.” The Prime Minister also highlighted the importance of reforms in simplifying processes for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), aiming to reduce tax disputes and accelerate refunds.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed pride in the event’s scale, noting that UPITS serves as a significant platform to showcase the state’s potential to the nation and the world.

The UP International Trade Show 2025 underscores Uttar Pradesh’s strategic vision to enhance its position as a key player in India’s economic growth, fostering innovation, and expanding global trade partnerships.
