Julie Kagy to assume role as ESCA Executive Director effective January 1, 2024, succeeding Larry Arnaudet

The Exhibition Services & Contractors Association (ESCA) is thrilled to announce that Julie Kagy will take the reins as Executive Director, effective January 1, 2024 succeeding Larry Arnaudet. who is retiring after a distinguished career in the events industry.

“Larry Arnaudet has been an invaluable asset to ESCA, and he leaves behind a legacy of audacious leadership and strategic acumen,” said Damon Ross. Sr Group Vice President of CORT Events and current President of ESCA. It is in this light that we are excited to bring on board Julie Kagy With her deep industry knowledge and proven expertise. Julle is the right person to propel ESCA into its next chapter.”

After graduating from Purdue University Northwest, Kagy built a formidable career beginning at the Ritz-Carlton Four Seasons Chicago, which won multiple prestigious awards during her time She later served 12 impactful years at CES, progressing through various leadership roles. Since 2015, Kagy has been the Director of Operations at ESCA, where she’s implemented key improvements, engaged with industry leaders, and overseen several program enhancements.

“In this role, I am honored to lead this organization and to be trusted with ushering ESCA into its next chapter” said Kagy “I’m eager to work collaboratively with our board, staff, and members to shape the future of the trade show industry.”

Arnaudet’s departure caps over five decades of service in the meetings and conventions arena “I hope I have positively impacted this industry said Arnaudet “I look forward to seeing ESCA flourish under Julie’s capable leadership.”

Kagy will focus on several key areas including automating and streamlining processes, member services, and enhancing existing programs like the ESCA Badge program and an official educational program.
