During the closing session, the Kingdom of Bahrain officially accepted the honour of hosting the 93rd UFI Global Congress in 2026, underscoring the nation’s readiness to present its world-class infrastructure and rapidly growing MICE and business events ecosystem.

Her Excellency Sara Ahmed Buhiji, CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) and Chairperson of EWB, stated that securing the next edition reflects Bahrain’s increasing global influence and aligns with the Kingdom’s vision to position the MICE sector as a major pillar of economic diversification and tourism strategy. She emphasised Bahrain’s ambition to become a global meeting hub for innovation, collaboration, and opportunity.

Throughout the four-day congress, the EWB delegation engaged with international organisers, associations, and industry partners to reinforce Bahrain’s role as a strategic gateway for high-profile business events and conferences. The participation marks a significant step in EWB’s mission to elevate Bahrain as a premier regional and global destination for exhibitions and conventions, setting the stage for a landmark UFI Global Congress in 2026.
