Emirates has entered into a strategic partnership with the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) to enhance collaboration within the global business events industry. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed on the sidelines of Arabian Travel Market, aims to foster stronger synergies between international air travel and the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) sector.

Strengthening the Global Business Events Ecosystem with ICCA

A key highlight of these new partnerships is Emirates’ Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), a leading global network in the international association meetings industry. This collaboration aims to strengthen ties between the aviation and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sectors by fostering strategic synergies that benefit both industries.

The partnership focuses on improving connectivity for association meetings, enhancing destination development strategies, and promoting knowledge exchange and capacity building. By aligning efforts, Emirates and ICCA seek to empower the global events community and support the evolution of business events worldwide.

This agreement also complements Dubai’s long-term vision to establish itself as a premier destination for international conferences and events. As a city that hosts hundreds of major conferences annually, Dubai’s thriving MICE sector plays a vital role in driving its D33 economic agenda, aiming to double the size of the economy over the next decade.

By joining forces with ICCA, Emirates further cements its commitment to facilitating global collaboration and contributing to the sustainable growth of the international meetings industry.

These latest partnerships underscore Emirates’ proactive approach to building meaningful alliances that enhance the customer journey, support economic development, and position the airline as a forward-thinking leader in global connectivity.
