The 18th edition of CPHI & PMEC India, organized by Informa Markets in India, opens its doors today at the India Expo Centre, Greater Noida, Delhi-NCR. The event serves as a major platform for the Indian pharmaceutical industry, bringing together over 2,000 exhibitors and 50,000 visitors from more than 120 countries. Participants span various sectors, including pharma machinery, packaging, ingredients, analytical instruments, and cleanroom technology.

A significant announcement is made regarding the future structure of the event. From 2026 onward, CPHI and PMEC India transition into two dedicated, separate shows held across two locations on consecutive days. This strategic change, driven by extensive stakeholder feedback, aims to enhance focus and depth for each platform. CPHI will be hosted in Dwarka, offering a more content-driven environment, while PMEC moves to IEML to address scale requirements, focusing on machinery and technology exhibitors.

The current edition is inaugurated by an esteemed lineup of guests, including Mr. K. Raja Bhanu (Pharmexcil), Mr. Harish K. Jain (FOPE), Mr. Satyaprakash TL (Department of Pharmaceuticals), and other leading industry figures.

Mr. Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director of Informa Markets in India, comments on the sector’s growth, noting that India’s pharma exports have doubled to USD $30$ billion. He states that the strong international participation reflects global confidence in India’s innovation capabilities, and the move to separate CPHI and PMEC formats delivers more focused and impactful business engagement.

The event features participation from numerous key companies, including Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd., Hetero Labs Limited, Biocon Ltd., ACG Pam Pharma Technologies Pvt. Ltd., and Cadmach Machinery Co. Pvt. Ltd. The expo also garners support from associations like Pharmexcil, IPEC India, and the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA).

Key content sessions, such as the Pharma Connect Congress, focus on ‘Reimagining innovation and manufacturing’ and ‘Digital Transformation.’ The closed-door Pharma Leaders’ Roundtable centers on “Scripting India Pharma 3.0: Capturing Global Opportunities Amid Shifting Dynamics,” with leaders from Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Granules India, and ACG Worldwide sharing strategic insights.

The second day is scheduled to feature the Women in Pharma Roundtable, addressing leadership representation and advancement, culminating in the India Pharma Awards 2025, which celebrates innovation and excellence in the sector. Future sessions will also address sustainability and green design principles in pharma logistics.
