Uttar Pradesh is set to host its first-ever Poultry Conclave in 2026, marking a significant step towards strengthening the state’s poultry sector and empowering farmers. The two-day conclave will be held on April 15–16 at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan and is being organised by Department of Animal Husbandry Uttar Pradesh, with support from Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers Association under the Poultry India initiative.
Uttar Pradesh continues to face a notable demand–supply gap in poultry production. The state’s daily egg demand is estimated at 3.5 to 5.5 crore, while current production stands at only 1.5 to 1.7 crore eggs per day, with per capita availability at approximately 25 eggs annually. At the national level, India’s animal healthcare market is valued at around ₹7,000 crore, with poultry contributing nearly 33%, highlighting the sector’s economic significance and growth potential.
The conclave aims to address these gaps by promoting advanced poultry technologies, improving productivity, and fostering stronger collaboration between industry and government stakeholders. It is expected to serve as a catalyst for investment, knowledge exchange, and innovation, supporting the development of a more efficient and sustainable poultry value chain in the region.
