Techtextil India 2025 is set to introduce a dedicated ‘ReCycle Zone’ in partnership with the Society of Plastics Engineers India (SPE India), reinforcing its commitment to circularity and environmental responsibility in the technical textiles sector. The 10th edition of the exhibition will take place from 19–21 November 2025 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai.

With the global shift towards sustainable production and circular economy models, the ReCycle Zone will serve as a strategic platform for transforming textile and plastic waste into value-added materials. The initiative will unite recyclers, solution providers, machinery manufacturers, startups, and policy enablers under one roof, showcasing the latest in sustainable innovation and next-generation recycling technologies.

According to Raj Manek, Executive Director & Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd, “The ‘ReCycle Zone’ is a timely and strategic addition to Techtextil India. As environmental stewardship becomes central to the industry’s future, this platform will not only spotlight sustainable technologies but also foster transformative partnerships.”

Key Focus Areas of the ReCycle Zone:

  • Recycling of garment, agro-textiles, and medical textiles waste
  • Plastic and PET waste recycling for textile applications
  • Fibre-to-fibre and yarn regeneration
  • Sorting, shredding, and advanced recycling machinery
  • EPR compliance, traceability, and green certifications
  • AI and automation in waste management systems

In addition, SPE India will curate targeted knowledge sessions and panel discussions featuring experts from academia, policy think tanks, and leading corporates. Discussions will cover topics such as circular product design, compliance mandates, advances in waste recovery, and investment in green technologies.

Ramesh Parasuraman, President of SPE India, stated, “This platform will go beyond exhibitions to facilitate critical dialogues, catalyse partnerships, and promote scalable, science-led recycling solutions for both textile and plastics sectors.”

The launch of the ReCycle Zone is aligned with national initiatives like LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) and PM MITRA Parks, supporting India’s vision for sustainable manufacturing. Given the vital role of technical textiles across industries such as defence, healthcare, automotive, and agriculture, integrating recycling and circular design has become essential.

Techtextil India 2025 will cover 12 application areas ranging from protective wear and functional fabrics to smart textiles, filtration, and mobility solutions. The event will gather global and domestic exhibitors, solution providers, institutional buyers, research organisations, and industry associations for three days of business, networking, and innovation.

Adding to the momentum, the India edition of the Dornbirn Global Fibre Conferencea global platform for fibre and material innovations will take place on 18 November 2025, one day prior to Techtextil India, at NESCO, Mumbai.
