The city of Srinagar is set to host a two-day Education Expo on June 14 and 15 at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC), located on Boulevard Road. The event will be open to the public from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM on both days and is primarily aimed at students who have completed their Class 10th or 12th, as well as current college students seeking further academic and career guidance.

The Expo is expected to bring together representatives from over 100 universities, colleges, and educational institutions from across India and abroad. Visitors will have the opportunity to engage in direct, one-on-one interactions with admission coordinators, gain insights into a wide range of academic programs, and receive expert guidance on career planning. On-the-spot admissions will be facilitated by several institutions, and various merit-based and need-based scholarships will also be available for eligible students.

A key feature of the event is its accessibility – there is no entry fee, ensuring that students from all socio-economic backgrounds have the opportunity to explore educational pathways without financial barriers. With an anticipated turnout of more than 20,000 attendees, the Expo aims to serve as a significant platform for academic networking and decision-making.

In light of the increasingly complex and competitive nature of higher education and employment markets, such events are seen as essential in helping students and their families make informed and strategic choices regarding their futures. Parents, educators, and career counselors are also encouraged to attend and engage with the resources and representatives present.

The Education Expo at SKICC is poised to offer a meaningful and practical experience for students at a critical juncture in their academic journeys, promoting informed choices and access to a broad spectrum of opportunities.
