The 8th edition of REFCOLD India, South Asia’s leading refrigeration and cold chain exhibition, is all set to make its debut in the national capital at Bharat Mandapam from 18-20 September 2025. Organized by ISHRAE in partnership with Informa Markets in India, the event will feature over 200 exhibitors and draw more than 10,000 professionals from diverse industries such as pharmaceuticals, agriculture, food processing, logistics, healthcare, and retail.
Recognized as a sunrise sector, the cold chain industry is vital to India’s economic progress, especially in North India, which is a major hub for agricultural produce like fruits, vegetables, dairy, and meat. The rise of organized food delivery and e-commerce platforms has further increased the demand for efficient cold storage solutions to prevent post-harvest losses and meet growing market needs. The cold chain market, currently valued at USD 10.5 billion (2024), is expected to surge to USD 74.5 billion by 2033, highlighting its immense potential.
REFCOLD India 2025 will bring together global industry leaders and innovative brands including Copeland, Daikin, Danfoss, Carrier Transicold, Rinac, and Luve, alongside international delegations from countries like Nepal, Sri Lanka, the Middle East, and Kenya. This platform will foster cross-border collaboration, policy discussions, and investment opportunities. The event is supported by major bodies such as the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR), National Centre for Cold-chain Development (NCCD), and the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI).
The event’s highlights will include the Innovation Zone, Demo Zone, Product Launch Pad, Global Student Poster Competition, and outdoor displays showcasing cutting-edge technologies and sustainable solutions. Knowledge-sharing sessions such as India Cold Chain Conclave 4.0, INDEE 3.0, and IIR Seminar will focus on energy efficiency, natural refrigerants, climate-resilient practices, and regulatory frameworks.
Speaking about the event, Ashish Gupta, Convenor of REFCOLD India 2025, emphasized the sector’s rapid expansion and its role in reducing food and pharmaceutical waste through next-generation technologies. Meanwhile, Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director of Informa Markets in India, highlighted the cold chain’s transformation driven by government policies and technological advancements.
Additionally, the REFCOLD India Copeland Awards 2025 will honor excellence across sustainable products, industry impact, and innovation. The event’s INSIGNIA B2B networking sessions will further strengthen industry connections.
Since its inception in 2018, REFCOLD India has been hosted in Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chennai, and Kolkata. Its first edition in New Delhi is poised to reaffirm its leadership in driving innovation, sustainability, and global partnerships in India’s expanding cold chain market.
