The first edition of ORGATEC India 2025 opened at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, bringing together key stakeholders from the workspace design, furniture, and facility management sectors. Organized by Koelnmesse India, the event features 103 exhibitors from over 10 countries, offering a comprehensive view of innovations in workspace design, automation, ergonomics, and sustainability.

The launch of ORGATEC in India comes at a time when the country’s office market is undergoing rapid transformation. According to industry data, Grade-A office leasing exceeded 70 million sq. ft. in 2024, while the managed and flexible workspace segment grew by 57% year-on-year. As companies increasingly focus on employee well-being, sustainability, and technology integration, the event provides a timely platform for industry dialogue and collaboration.

The opening ceremony was attended by several dignitaries including Mr. Nirupam Chaudhuri (NASSCOM), Ms. Bharti Singh Kalappa (Noida International Airport), Dr. Mala Singh (Indian Green Building Council – Mumbai Chapter), Mr. Oliver Frese (COO, Koelnmesse GmbH), and Mr. Milind Dixit (MD, Koelnmesse India).

During the inaugural session, speakers highlighted the growing importance of responsible and adaptable workplace design. Mr. Frese noted that “India’s workspace ecosystem is evolving quickly, with sustainability and flexibility becoming essential features of modern offices.” Mr. Dixit added that “the shift toward value-driven workplace investment is shaping new opportunities for collaboration across industries.”

Across the exhibition, participants are showcasing solutions in furniture, lighting, building automation, acoustics, materials, and technology integration. Companies such as Godrej Interio, Spacewood Office Solutions, Haworth, Humanscale, Framery, AFC Systems, Nilkamal, and Donati are displaying products focused on ergonomics, modularity, and environmental responsibility.

In addition to product showcases, the Workplace Dialogues sessions are facilitating discussions among leaders from architecture, design, real estate, and facilities management. Topics include hybrid work models, AI-driven planning, ESG-focused design, neuro-design, and wellness-oriented work environments.

Supported by organizations including NASSCOM, IGBC, INBAC, CRISP, AFMA, and MAIT, the event brings together multiple perspectives from across the workspace value chain. With over 8,000 professional visitors expected, ORGATEC India 2025 aims to serve as a meaningful meeting point for sharing ideas, exploring partnerships, and understanding the evolving dynamics of India’s office landscape.
