Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India has entered into a strategic collaboration with BusinessLive Trade Fairs to significantly expand the Media Expo brand across South India. As part of this alliance, the long-running Sign India Expo will transition into Media Expo, with new editions launching in Kochi and Hyderabad, while the Chennai edition will be rebranded as Media Expo Chennai. This development expands Media Expo’s footprint from three to five cities—Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Mumbai, and New Delhi.

With 56 successful editions previously held in Mumbai, New Delhi, and Chennai, Media Expo will now serve as the primary exhibition platform in the southern markets of Kochi, Hyderabad, and Chennai. The transition from Sign India Expo aims to ensure focused regional engagement while offering the industry a consistent and unified platform across South India. The collaboration will begin with Media Expo Chennai, scheduled to take place later this year at the Chennai Trade Centre.

Sign India Expo brings with it a strong legacy of over 70 editions nationwide, with deep roots in southern markets such as Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, and Hyderabad. By combining this regional strength with Messe Frankfurt’s global exhibition expertise, the partnership seeks to create a more impactful and cohesive trade fair platform for the industry.

The alliance is expected to leverage South India’s strong business potential while expanding exhibitor participation and enhancing product showcases across printing, signage, digital signage, OOH and DOOH advertising solutions, retail displays, large-format and industrial printing, fabrication equipment, POP-POSM, LED screens, inks, substrates, and advanced 3D and laser printing technologies.

Industry leaders noted that the collaboration will strengthen Media Expo’s positioning as a central platform for the printing, signage, branding, and advertising solutions ecosystem, driving stronger buyer-seller engagement across South India’s key commercial hubs. Backed by positive market projections for the printing, signage, and OOH-DOOH sectors, the partnership marks a strategic step toward building a more unified and future-ready industry ecosystem in the region.
