The Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) successfully concluded its 55th Annual Convention from September 18 to 20, 2025, at Hotel Conrad Bengaluru. The three-day event brought together approximately 800 delegates, including industry leaders, policymakers, and hospitality professionals, to deliberate on the future of Indian hospitality, innovation, and sustainable growth.
Dignitaries present during the convention included Siddaramaiah, Chief Minister of Karnataka; D.K. Shivakumar, Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka; Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister for Tourism, Government of India; M.B. Patil, Minister of Large and Medium Scale Industries, Karnataka; H.K. Patil, Minister for Tourism, Law & Parliamentary Affairs, Karnataka; Dr. Suman Billa, Additional Secretary & Director General, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India; and other prominent figures from the hospitality and tourism sectors.
The theme of this year’s convention, “FutureScape 2047: Redefining Hospitality for a New India,” focused on envisioning the future of India’s hospitality industry as the nation approaches its centenary of independence. Discussions centered on sustainable growth, innovation, and the integration of technology in the hospitality sector.
The convention featured a series of keynote addresses, panel discussions, and technical sessions led by industry experts and thought leaders. Topics covered included digital transformation, eco-conscious tourism, inclusivity in growth, and the adoption of best practices to enhance the guest experience.
In his address, K. Syama Raju, President of FHRAI, emphasized the importance of collaboration among industry stakeholders to build a resilient and future-ready hospitality sector. He highlighted the role of innovation and technology in shaping the industry’s trajectory and ensuring its competitiveness on the global stage.
The convention also provided a platform for networking and collaboration among industry professionals, fostering partnerships and alliances aimed at driving the growth and development of the hospitality sector. The event underscored FHRAI’s commitment to advancing the interests of its members and contributing to the overall progress of India’s tourism and hospitality industry.
As the 55th Annual Convention concluded, FHRAI reaffirmed its dedication to supporting the industry’s evolution and positioning India as a leading destination for hospitality and tourism in the coming decades.
