The 2026 edition marks a pivotal shift from capability development to institutionalised adoption of space-based solutions within India’s security architecture. The conference will feature strategic policy dialogues, focused discussions, and live technology demonstrations centred on integrating satellite-based intelligence, surveillance, communications, and navigation systems as force multipliers across the tri-services, border forces, CAPFs, and internal security agencies. A major highlight will be the IndSpaceX Wargame 4.0, designed to simulate real-time defence-space scenarios and operational challenges.
DefSat 2026 aims to embed space-enabled services at every layer of national security, reinforcing the importance of multi-dimensional space integration to safeguard India’s strategic interests. The platform will facilitate structured engagement to support policy alignment, operational readiness, and long-term planning. The deliberations and key recommendations emerging from the conference will be formally documented to contribute to the continued evolution of India’s defence-space doctrine.
