The trade audience from all areas of the healthcare industry will be able to experience the début of a special programme highlight live in November during the duration of the world’s leading medical trade fair MEDICA in Düsseldorf (duration: 14 – 17 Nov. 2022). In the middle of the physiotherapy and orthopaedic technology theme segment in Hall 4, the MEDICA SPORTS HUB will then invite visitors to an action area on all days of the fair (14 – 17 Nov. 2022) for training and dialogue with Olympic athletes who are among the most successful in Germany’s history: Heike Henkel (Olympic champion, world champion and world record holder in the high jump) and Lars Riedel (Olympic champion and multiple world champion in the discus).

Keynote speeches, talk sessions and also sporting exercises to take part in are planned every half hour between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on each day of the fair. The thematic spectrum ranges from mental health, nutrition, team success to professional endurance training or even aspects of workplace health promotion.

“With the MEDICA SPORTS HUB we show what distinguishes trade fairs with a personal contact format. Only those who come to Düsseldorf have the chance to experience and interview top stars from the world of sport face-to-face”, says Christian Grosser, Director Health & Medical Technologies at Messe Düsseldorf, looking forward to extraordinary encounters during MEDICA 2022.
