Informa plc has officially announced the appointment of David Lynn as the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of inD, its Dubai-based partnership with the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The appointment marks a significant step in strengthening the region’s B2B events ecosystem and accelerating growth across the IMEA region.
David Lynn brings extensive global leadership experience, having previously served as President and CEO of ViacomCBS Networks International, where he led a billion-dollar revenue business with over 5,000 employees across 180 markets. During his tenure, he spearheaded major digital transformation initiatives, including the international rollout of streaming platforms such as Paramount+ and Pluto TV across 20 countries. He also oversaw key integrations, including Network 10 in Australia, Telefe in Argentina, and Channel 5 in the UK.
Lynn will relocate to Dubai and officially assume his role on May 4, 2026, with an immediate focus on integrating the B2B event brands and operations of Informa and DWTC under the unified inD platform. The objective is to create a single, scalable operating business with a clear growth roadmap spanning 2027 to 2029.
The inD partnership represents Informa’s largest global collaboration, combining DWTC’s regional expertise, market access, and national leadership with Informa’s international reach, operational strength, and portfolio of market-leading B2B brands. The venture aims to further strengthen its position as a leading B2B events group in the UAE while expanding into the wider IMEA region through new launches, brand extensions, and syndication strategies.
Commenting on the appointment, Stephen A. Carter, Group CEO of Informa, highlighted Lynn’s international experience and emphasized the significant growth potential for high-quality B2B brands across the region.
Helal Saeed Almarri, CEO, DWTC noted that the appointment reinforces Dubai’s appeal as a global hub for executive talent and underlines the strategic importance of inD in driving future industry-defining opportunities.
This leadership appointment signals a strong push toward scaling global B2B events, enhancing international connectivity, and positioning Dubai as a powerhouse for business events and exhibitions.
