Gandhinagar, Gujarat is gearing up to host Salt India Expo 2026, a landmark international B2B exhibition and conference for the salt and marine chemicals industry, scheduled from 22 to 24 January 2026 at the Helipad Exhibition Centre (HEC). Recognised as one of the most focused platforms for this niche yet critical sector, the expo is expected to draw strong participation from India and overseas, reinforcing India’s growing influence in the global salt economy.
Organised by Indian Exhibition Services in association with the Indian Trade Fair Academy, and co-organised by CSIR-Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, the event is supported by the Government of India’s Make in India initiative. The expo will bring together the entire salt value chain, including producers, processors, machinery manufacturers, technology providers, researchers, exporters, and policymakers.
Speaking on the occasion, Swadesh Kumar, Director, Indian Exhibition Services, highlighted that hosting the event in Gujarat underscores India’s leadership in the global salt industry. With participation from major domestic and international players, the expo aims to catalyse business expansion, technology adoption, and cross-border collaborations.
Salt India Expo 2026 will spotlight innovations in salt production and processing technologies, plant engineering, machinery, raw materials, and value-added applications, with a strong focus on efficiency and sustainability. A key highlight of the event will be SMARTECHBIZ 2026 – the International Conference on Salt and Marine Chemicals Technology and Business, alongside an International Buyer-Seller Meet designed to enable strategic partnerships and joint ventures.
The presence of global experts and buyers from countries such as Switzerland, Iran, Spain, Ghana, Cyprus, and the USA is expected to enhance international engagement. With dedicated support for international buyers, including complimentary accommodation and exhibition facilities, Salt India Expo 2026 is positioned as a pivotal platform driving innovation, trade, and long-term growth for the salt and marine chemicals industry.
