India’s Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) industry marked another significant milestone with the unveiling of URJATVA and the launch of the ONGC Urja Bharat Convention Centre (ONGC UBCC) at the ONGC Advanced Training Institute (ATI), South Goa.
Spread across a sprawling 250-acre integrated campus, the newly introduced convention destination combines state-of-the-art convention infrastructure, exhibition facilities, premium accommodation, training spaces and hospitality services, positioning itself as one of India’s emerging venues for business events.
The launch event brought together leading professionals from the MICE, exhibition and convention industry, offering them an immersive experience of the campus and its extensive facilities. Rather than introducing the venue through presentations alone, ONGC invited industry stakeholders to explore the destination firsthand, allowing them to experience the scale, design and potential of the campus.
One of the venue’s most striking features is its thoughtfully designed architecture. Dominated by bold red tones symbolising strength and ambition, complemented by warm yellow hues representing energy and optimism, the campus creates a distinctive environment that blends functionality with visual appeal.
The venue has already demonstrated its operational capabilities by successfully hosting India Energy Week, one of India’s premier global energy events, reinforcing its ability to accommodate large-scale conferences, exhibitions and international gatherings.
Speaking during the showcase, Mr. Saket Gupta, Executive Director, ONGC ATI, highlighted the vision behind URJATVA and ONGC UBCC, emphasising the institute’s commitment to supporting India’s growing business events ecosystem through world-class infrastructure and sustainable development.
As India’s convention landscape continues to expand beyond traditional metropolitan centres, destinations such as South Goa are expected to play an increasingly important role in attracting conferences, exhibitions, corporate meetings and incentive travel programmes. The introduction of ONGC UBCC further strengthens India’s convention infrastructure while contributing to regional tourism and economic development.
The unveiling of URJATVA represents another step forward in India’s ambition to become a leading global destination for business events, with ONGC ATI offering a unique combination of learning, leadership, innovation and hospitality within a single integrated campus.
