Lucknow is set to welcome a world-class International Convention and Exhibition Centre under the Avadh Vihar Yojana. Designed to global standards, the upcoming centre will span 1.32 lakh square meters and accommodate up to 10,000 people. It will feature four spacious exhibition halls and a grand auditorium with a seating capacity of 2,500, positioning it as a premier destination for large-scale national and international events.
The Uttar Pradesh government has allocated a budget of ₹1,058.22 crore (excluding GST) for the project, which is targeted for completion within 18 months. It will be developed under the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) model to ensure efficient delivery and high-quality infrastructure.
The facility will offer a range of modern amenities, including a state-of-the-art audio-visual system, a 300kW solar power plant, and digital public address systems. It will also have extensive parking areas designed for all vehicle types, ensuring visitor convenience.
Architectural highlights include four iconic 35-meter clock towers, lush landscaping, and smart lighting systems. Advanced safety and security features such as CCTV surveillance, fire-fighting units, and baggage scanners will ensure a secure environment. The venue will be Wi-Fi enabled and equipped with an integrated building management system for seamless operations.
Adding a cultural touch, the entire complex will feature customized artwork to enhance its visual appeal and reflect the region’s identity.
Once completed, the International Convention and Exhibition Centre will stand as a landmark venue in Uttar Pradesh, boosting the state’s capacity to host high-profile conferences, trade fairs, and global summits. It is expected to significantly contribute to the region’s economic development and elevate Lucknow’s profile on the international events map.
