The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) have officially unveiled the theme “Scale Without Boundaries” for the 10th edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026, scheduled to take place from October 7–10, 2026, at Yashobhoomi (India International Convention & Expo Centre), New Delhi. The theme was announced by Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region, Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, in the presence of Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, Union Minister of State for Communications & Rural Development, and Shri Amit Agrawal, Secretary, Department of Telecommunications (DoT).
The theme reflects India’s vision of creating a future where digital technologies, innovation and connectivity extend beyond traditional boundaries to benefit every sector, community and region. It emphasizes scaling transformative technologies through collaboration between government, industry, startups, academia, infrastructure providers and policymakers to drive inclusive growth and strengthen India’s digital economy.
IMC 2026 will be built around four strategic pillars—Srishti (Building the Future), Suraksha (Strengthening Trust), Sashakt (Expanding Opportunities), and Samvardhan (Fueling Growth). These pillars will focus on promoting innovation, ensuring secure digital ecosystems, expanding digital opportunities for citizens and businesses, and accelerating economic growth through technology-led development.
The four-day event will showcase the latest advancements in 5G, 6G, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), cloud and edge computing, satellite communications, electronics manufacturing, quantum technologies and green technologies. It will also serve as a global platform for product launches, technology demonstrations, policy discussions, investment opportunities and industry collaborations.
Speaking at the launch, Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia said India has progressed from connecting the next billion people to enabling the next billion possibilities. He highlighted that the country is increasingly becoming a global technology developer, with indigenous telecom innovations, digital public infrastructure and 6G initiatives supporting the vision of ‘Local for Global’ and Viksit Bharat 2047.
Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani noted that IMC has become an important platform showcasing India’s telecom achievements while enabling collaboration among government, startups and investors. Shri Amit Agrawal added that the 10th edition would present India’s telecom progress on a much larger global stage.
Building on the success of previous editions, IMC 2026 is expected to bring together global technology companies, telecom operators, startups, investors, researchers and policymakers. The flagship ASPIRE startup programme will continue to connect emerging technology ventures with investors, incubators and industry leaders. The previous edition attracted over 1.4 lakh visitors, 860 exhibitors, participants from 101 countries, 465 startups, and featured 918 speakers across 113 knowledge sessions, reaffirming IMC’s position as one of Asia’s leading digital technology platforms.
