The 13th edition of IFAT India has opened today at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, bringing together companies, policymakers, environmental professionals and technology providers from across the water, sewage, solid waste and recycling sectors. The three-day trade fair will run from September 9–11, 2026.
Organised by Messe Muenchen India Pvt. Ltd., IFAT India has established itself as a major platform for environmental technologies and business collaboration in India. The organiser’s current board information lists Bhupinder Singh as CEO, Messe Muenchen India.
The 2026 edition is expected to feature 560 exhibitors from more than 30 countries, alongside an estimated 25,000 visitors. The exhibition covers 45,000 square metres and includes six international pavilions representing China, Germany, Italy, Korea, Norway and the Netherlands.
The scale of participation reflects the growing importance of environmental infrastructure and resource management in India. IFAT India brings together solutions spanning wastewater treatment, sustainable water supply, solid waste management, recycling, circular economy and related technologies. Its conference programme further adds an industry knowledge-sharing dimension, with 200 expert speakers scheduled across the three-day programme.
Business engagement remains another key focus, with the organisers highlighting 2,200 buyer-seller meetings alongside special zones covering areas such as e-waste, bio-energy, startups, textile recycling and smarter SMEs.
Following the 12th edition in 2025, which recorded more than 18,000 visitors and 560+ exhibitors from 30+ countries, the 2026 edition marks another significant chapter for the platform as environmental technology moves higher on the agenda of industry and urban infrastructure.
With the exhibition now underway, IFAT India 2026 is set to serve as a meeting point for technology, investment, policy and partnerships around India’s evolving environmental challenges.
