The 3rd edition of IBET Expo 2026 – International Bioenergy & Technology Exhibition and Conference will be held from 11–13 August 2026 at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, technology providers, researchers and investors to accelerate the growth of India’s bioenergy sector. The event is jointly organised by the Indian Federation of Green Energy (IFGE) and MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications, with the Government of Uttar Pradesh as the Host State and the Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) as the co-organiser.

Held under the theme “Advancing Bioenergy Solutions for a Low Carbon World,” the three-day event will showcase innovations and business opportunities across key segments including Compressed Biogas (CBG), Ethanol, Biodiesel, Waste-to-Energy, Bio-Mobility, Biomass (Pellets & Briquettes), Biomaterials and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The exhibition and conference aim to promote technology adoption, investment, policy dialogue and industry collaboration to support India’s transition towards cleaner and more sustainable energy sources.

IBET Expo 2026 is expected to host 35+ conference sessions, 200+ national and international speakers, 1,000+ conference participants, 150+ exhibitors, and attract over 15,000 business visitors, providing a comprehensive platform for knowledge exchange, networking and business development across the bioenergy value chain.

The selection of Uttar Pradesh as the host state reflects its growing prominence in India’s bioenergy ecosystem. Following the successful first two editions, the Government of Uttar Pradesh invited IFGE and MM Activ to organise the third edition in the state. Uttar Pradesh has emerged as the country’s largest ethanol-producing state, recording 180 crore litres of production in 2023–24. The state also has 38 commissioned Compressed Biogas (CBG) plants, with 78 additional plants under construction, supported by abundant agricultural biomass, sugar industry residues, municipal solid waste and other feedstock resources.

To further strengthen the sector, the state government has introduced a dedicated Bioenergy Policy offering production-linked financial assistance for CBG, bio-coal and biodiesel projects, machinery subsidies for biomass collection equipment, 100 per cent exemptions on stamp duty and electricity duty, the One Tehsil–One Plant initiative and a single-window clearance mechanism for project approvals.

Through IBET Expo 2026, the organisers aim to position Uttar Pradesh as a leading destination for bioenergy production, technology development and manufacturing while fostering collaboration between government, industry, academia and global stakeholders. With senior government officials, policymakers, industry associations and technology innovators expected to participate, the event is set to serve as a key platform for advancing India’s clean energy ambitions and strengthening the country’s bioenergy ecosystem.
