ES. Namdhari Events has built a strong presence in the exhibition space, what core philosophy or approach has been key to sustaining its growth and relevance in a highly competitive market?

Dharampal Singh Malhotra. At Namdhari Events, our growth has always been driven by three key pillars – sustainability, continuous skilling, and staying updated with evolving industry trends. The exhibition industry is constantly transforming, and adaptability is essential to remain relevant. We strongly believe in investing in people, processes, and technology while maintaining quality execution. This balanced approach has helped us build long-term client trust and sustain our presence in a highly competitive market.

ES. India’s exhibition industry is witnessing rapid expansion across sectors, where do you see the most untapped opportunities today, and how can organisers better capitalise on them?

Dharampal Singh Malhotra. Tier-II and emerging cities across India present tremendous untapped potential for the exhibition industry today. Businesses in these regions are expanding rapidly, creating demand for industry-specific trade platforms and networking opportunities. Organisers need to strengthen regional outreach, local partnerships, and operational planning to capitalise on this growth. At Namdhari Events, our strong associates network across India enables us to efficiently execute projects in diverse locations while understanding local market dynamics.

ES. As the industry grows in scale, how can Indian exhibitions ensure they maintain global standards in terms of quality, experience, and value for both exhibitors and visitors?

Dharampal Singh Malhotra. Digitalisation and AI are playing a transformative role in enhancing exhibitor and visitor

experiences today. However, technology alone is not enough, quality execution remains the biggest differentiator. Global standards can only be achieved when experienced and seasoned service providers deliver seamless planning, operational efficiency, and professional execution. Indian exhibitions are evolving rapidly, and maintaining consistency in quality, innovation, and attendee engagement will be crucial for long-term global competitiveness.

ES. With ongoing global uncertainties, from geopolitical shifts to changing trade patterns, how should Indian exhibition players adapt their strategies to stay resilient and relevant?

Dharampal Singh Malhotra. India is currently moving strongly towards the vision of Viksit Bharat and Make in India, which creates significant opportunities for the exhibition sector. Indian industry players should focus more on strengthening domestic manufacturing ecosystems and reducing excessive dependence on international markets. While current geopolitical and trade uncertainties make the environment challenging, the long-term outlook remains positive.

ES. Over the past 12 months, Namdhari Events has been actively delivering multiple exhibition projects across cities like Hyderabad, could you share some key highlights from these assignments?

Dharampal Singh Malhotra. Over the last year, we have successfully delivered multiple projects across cities including Hyderabad, supported by our strong PAN India associates network. One major learning has been that many organisers still rely heavily on external operational support instead of having structured in-house management systems. Post-COVID, we have focused extensively on smoother, stress-free execution by offering strategic planning, operational expertise, and turnkey solutions.
