India’s flagship global textile event, Bharat Tex 2026, officially opened today at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, with Union Minister of Textiles Shri Giriraj Singh inaugurating the four-day exhibition. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Minister of State for Textiles Shri Pabitra Margherita, Smt. Neelam Shami Rao, Secretary (Textiles), and senior officials from the Ministry of Textiles, marking the commencement of one of the world’s largest integrated textile trade events.
Scheduled from 14–17 July 2026, Bharat Tex 2026 brings together the complete textile value chain under one roof, highlighting India’s strengths in textiles, fashion, innovation, sustainability, advanced manufacturing, and global trade. Organised by the Bharat Tex Trade Federation (BTTF) with the support of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, the event serves as a leading platform for international business collaboration, investment, sourcing, technology exchange, and policy dialogue.
The third edition is expected to welcome over 7,000 international buyers, 1.3 lakh trade visitors, and feature more than 1,600 exhibitors representing the entire textile ecosystem across an exhibition area spanning 1.6 million square feet. Visitors will experience displays covering fibre, yarn, fabrics, apparel, fashion, home textiles, technical textiles, machinery, chemicals, and allied industries.
Bharat Tex 2026 also features an extensive knowledge programme with 100+ conferences, panel discussions, masterclasses, roundtables, and state sessions, bringing together 350+ speakers from over 20 countries. Discussions will focus on sustainability, circularity, technology, trade, investment, global sourcing, Industry 5.0, innovation, and policy frameworks shaping the future of the textile industry.
The event is expected to facilitate nearly 3,500 curated B2B meetings, 100+ government-to-business engagements, and the signing of over 20 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) across trade, technology, sustainability, investment, and international collaboration. Dedicated State Investor Connect sessions and international delegations are further strengthening India’s position as a preferred global textile manufacturing and sourcing destination.
With participation from leading textile manufacturers, exporters, global brands, buyers, investors, designers, startups, technology providers, policymakers, and international delegations, Bharat Tex 2026 reflects India’s commitment to building globally competitive and sustainable textile value chains. The event is inspired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s 5F Vision—Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign—reinforcing India’s ambition to become a global hub for textile manufacturing, innovation, and exports.
Speaking through the official event announcement, the Ministry of Textiles highlighted that Bharat Tex 2026 will create new opportunities for trade, investment, innovation, and strategic partnerships while strengthening India’s role as a trusted global partner in the textile sector. The event is expected to significantly boost exports, MSME participation, sustainable manufacturing, and international collaboration throughout the textile value chain.
