Anuga Select South Africa opens today, 22 June 2027, at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), marking the debut of the globally renowned Anuga brand in Africa. The event is being launched through a strategic partnership between dmg events and Koelnmesse, organiser of the world-famous Anuga trade fair in Cologne, Germany.
Evolving from the successful Africa Food Show, formerly known as Africa’s Big 7, the exhibition is set to bring together food and beverage manufacturers, distributors, retailers, hospitality professionals, importers and buyers from across Africa and international markets. The launch follows the record-breaking Africa Food Show 2026, which welcomed participants from more than 36 countries and recorded a significant increase in visitor registrations.
By combining the established regional presence of Africa Food Show with the international reputation and expertise of the Anuga brand, the event aims to create a powerful business platform for the continent’s rapidly expanding food and beverage sector. Exhibitors are showcasing products, innovations and solutions spanning the entire food value chain, while visitors gain access to sourcing opportunities, market insights and new business partnerships.
The event comes at a pivotal time for the region, with Africa’s food and agribusiness market projected to reach US$1 trillion by 2030. Organisers believe the exhibition will play an important role in supporting international trade, strengthening regional supply chains and promoting investment across the sector.
In addition to the exhibition, attendees can participate in networking sessions, industry discussions and knowledge-sharing forums addressing key topics such as consumer trends, food security, supply chain development and the future of food trade in Africa.
With strong international participation and the backing of two leading exhibition organisers, Anuga Select South Africa is poised to become one of Africa’s most influential food and beverage trade events.
