In a landmark move that underscores the rapid evolution of India’s Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) sector, the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) has announced a significant investment in 30,000 square metres of pre-engineered exhibition infrastructure for the upcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2027 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi.

The initiative represents one of the largest infrastructure investments ever made by an Indian industry association for a trade exhibition. Beyond enhancing the scale of Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2027, the project reflects ACMA’s long-term vision of creating world-class exhibition facilities capable of hosting globally competitive business events.

To execute the project, ACMA has appointed Exhicon Events Media Solutions Limited (EXHICON) as its design, engineering and execution partner. The infrastructure will be developed between September 2026 and January 2027, leveraging advanced pre-engineered systems designed for faster installation, improved structural safety, sustainability, operational efficiency and a superior experience for exhibitors and visitors alike.

The agreement was formally signed on 30 July 2026 by Mr. Vinnie Mehta, Secretary, ACMA; Mr. Anil Unni, CEO – Business Development & Strategic Partnerships, ACMA; Mr. M. Q. Syed, Chairman & Managing Director, EXHICON; and Ms. Zainab Rizvi, Director – Design & Projects, EXHICON.

Strengthening India’s Exhibition Ecosystem

The investment comes as Bharat Mobility Global Expo continues to expand into one of the world’s largest integrated mobility exhibitions. The 2027 edition is scheduled to be held from 4–9 February 2027, across Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi, bringing together the complete mobility value chain through multiple concurrent exhibitions. The event is expected to host over 1,750 exhibitors, attract more than one million visitors, and occupy over 250,000 square metres of exhibition space.

The newly developed pre-engineered infrastructure is expected to significantly enhance exhibition quality by providing modular, reusable and sustainable structures that meet international standards. Such infrastructure reduces construction timelines, minimizes waste generation and improves overall event execution – an increasingly important requirement as India attracts larger international trade fairs.

A Boost for India’s MICE Industry

Industry experts view ACMA’s decision as a milestone for India’s exhibition sector. Traditionally, much of the temporary exhibition infrastructure has been event-specific. By investing in modern reusable assets, ACMA is setting an example of how industry associations can contribute to developing long-term exhibition capabilities rather than relying solely on venue infrastructure.
The project also aligns with India’s broader ambition to position itself as a global MICE destination.

Investments in high-quality exhibition infrastructure not only improve the exhibitor and visitor experience but also enhance India’s ability to compete with leading international exhibition markets in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

EXHICON’s Role

EXHICON, one of India’s leading exhibition and event infrastructure companies, will oversee the complete design, engineering and implementation of the project. Its expertise in modular exhibition systems and large-scale event execution is expected to ensure that the infrastructure meets international safety, quality and sustainability benchmarks.

Looking Ahead

As Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2027 prepares to welcome global automotive manufacturers, component suppliers, technology innovators and mobility stakeholders, ACMA’s investment sends a strong message about India’s readiness to host exhibitions of international scale.

The initiative is expected to leave a lasting legacy for the country’s exhibition ecosystem by creating durable, high-quality infrastructure that supports trade, innovation, investment and business tourism. More importantly, it reflects a growing trend of industry-led investments that strengthen India’s position as one of the fastest-growing global destinations for exhibitions and business events.
